Junior Golf at Piney Point
Golf Club is Much More than Child's Play
When
we say we play well with others, we mean all
others, including those barely big enough to
swing a club, and those dreaming of being the
next Phil Mickelson! The entire staff at Piney
Point is dedicated to mentoring future golfers.
Our long standing philosophy is that if you get
kids excited about golf, they will remain golf
enthusiasts throughout their lives. JGA programs
also teach sportsmanship, etiquette, and the
rules of golf. What young boy or girl can resist
swinging, hitting, walking (and sometimes
running) in the fresh air, and learning the
skills to beat Mom and Dad!
Programs, scholarships, memberships and events
geared toward young golfers take center stage at
Piney Point Golf Club.
Piney Point is no stranger to recognition!
Junior Promoter Of The Year - Twice !
1989 and 1991
Host of Annual Clubs for Kids
Event for 15 Years! This ½ day program
evolved into a week long camp, featuring
celebrity entertainers, trick shot artists and
past champions.
Growing and evolving again, our Junior program
now encompasses a golf clinic that will be held every Tuesday, beginning in March and will go through the summer into the fall. Piney Point will be teaming up with other courses in the area to provide other playing opportunities for our JGA members.
Some highlights include:
- Affordable and Value Plus even for
non-members
- Annual Can Recycling and Lake Ball programs
are additional JGA fund raisers
- Have given away Granny Hill Scholarships every year since 1995
Junior
Golf Association –
Founded in 1989 to
provide activities and
events for Piney Point
junior golfers, the JGA
works hard to provide
funds and resources,
including the Granny
Hill Scholarship
Program. The Piney Point
staff provides clinics,
tournaments, and other
activities for kids to
enjoy.
